Service Description

Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. The word Ayurveda derives from the Sanskrit words Ayur (life) and Veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates the wisdom of life. Based on the idea that illness is caused by imbalance or stress in a person's consciousness, Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle interventions and natural remedies to achieve a balance between body, mind, soul, and environment. Ayurveda treatment begins with an internal purification process, followed by a special diet, herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation. The concepts of universal interrelation, body constitution (Prakriti), and life force (Doshas) are the primary basis of Ayurvedic medicine. The goals of treatment help the person to eliminate impurities, reduce symptoms, increase immunity, reduce anxiety and increase harmony in life. Herbs and other plants, including oils and common spices, are extensively used in Ayurvedic treatment. Ayurveda can have positive effects when used as complementary medicine in combination with standard, traditional medical care. Many ayurvedic materials have not been fully studied even in Western or Indian research. Some of the products used in Ayurvedic medicine include herbs, metals, minerals, or other ingredients, which can be harmful if used improperly or without the instruction of a trained physician. Our five senses serve as portals between the inner and outer realms, as the five great elements of ether, air, fire, water, and earth dance the dances of creation around and within us. Ayurveda groups these five elements into three basic types of energy and functional principles that are present in everyone and everything. Since there is not a single word in English to describe these principles; We use the Sanskrit words Vata, Pitta, and Kapha to describe their combinations.
